Video Visits

You can book appointments, including video visits, for patients on SeamlessMD. For each scheduled video visit appointment on SeamlessMD:

    • The patient and any attendees (e.g. clinicians or caregivers) will receive an email/SMS notification the day before and day of the appointment. 
    • The patient will see the scheduled appointment on their SeamlessMD home page, and under the “Appointments” tab.

  1. To schedule a new video visit, click “View” to open the patient’s profile from the roster.

  1. Click on the “Appointments” tab and click “Add new appointment”.

  1. Complete the appointment form. All fields (title, details, date/time) are mandatory. By default, the video visit toggle will be set to “ON”.  This toggle means that there will be a virtual video link. If the toggle is set to “OFF”, it will simply serve as a reminder about the appointment. 

  1. Under “Attendees”, the patient will be listed. Add attendees as needed (i.e. clinicians with SeamlessMD accounts, patient caregivers, or additional emails/phone numbers of participants who need to attend). Click “Save”.

  1. All attendees (including clinicians) will receive an email/SMS  notification for the upcoming appointment. The messages will include a link to join at the scheduled time. Links can also be accessed by clicking “Copy Invite Link” from the edit page of the appointment.

Note: a valid email address or phone number is required on the patient profile in SeamlessMD in order to book a video visit, even if the patient profile has a caregiver with an email/phone number.

If the patient does not have the email or phone number field filled out, you will receive an error when saving the appointment.
