What To Do if a Patient No Longer Wants to or Cannot Use the Program (Opt Out)

The 'Opt Out' function can be used to track how many patients have opted out of the program and offers full insight into why patients are unable to use the SeamlessMD program. Please refer to this Guide to Opt Out a Patient.

Here are the reasons why patients may be opted out of the program:

  1. Patient declined or no longer wants to use the program
  2. Patient has passed away (opt out only in the event that the patient already has an existing account)
  3. Patient is no longer having surgery and surgery will not be rescheduled (opt out only in the event that the patient already has an existing account)
  4. Patient does not qualify to be enrolled on to the program (i.e. due to surgery type, does not have a device or internet access)

It is important to ensure that when patients are opted out right from the start that their contact information is not added to the enrollment page or if opting the out of an existing account, it is important to toggle 'OFF' both email and text notifications so that they no longer receive notifications from the program.

Please follow the steps below in order to successfully list a patient as 'Opt-Out' upon enrollment:

  1. Begin by adding the patient to the patient roster by clicking the green "Add a Patient" button on the top right part of your screen
